We just got notice of our fingerprinting appointment from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) today. This is a great step and means our immigration application is being processed. Our fingerprint appointment is scheduled for February 7. I'm not sure how long approval will take after the appointment, but at least we know it is moving!
Other than the fingerprinting, I sent off Missouri and North Carolina documents for apostilling today. We should be able to finish off our apostilling (we still need to do Nebraska) by the end of next week!

Wow, sounds like things are moving! I will look through some of books and get the titles of our favorites to you :)
My son's favorite (we were looking for something to help open up the conversation when we started this process) is Borya and the Burps by Joan McNamara. It's cute and what preschooler doesn't like to mimic a "burp" (for that matter what husband!)
Wow! Things are cooking! You guy must be so excited (and um, scared).
I am so happy for you that it's starting to come together. It seems that is the way it goes. Our process has started moving too. It seems that we are around the same spot. We just had our documents apostilled with our State Of IL. Next it's off to Washington DC and then to Poland we are hoping Feb too!
Good luck...the process is going to start to really feel "real" now!
